Meet Cat (Owner of Patchwork Petcare)
Hi everyone,
Cat here!
Animals are a huge part of my life; they always have been, and I learned from a very young age the importance of being gentle, patient, and empathetic towards all animals. I could never imagine a life without them. Currently, my own little team consist of four beautiful snakes, and two tarantulas.
I gained my Diploma in Animal Management from Sparsholt College Hampshire back in 2014, and have remained working with and learning about animals ever since, with a particular interest in animal behaviour and psychology.
My passion for animals has led me through some vastly different jobs over the years; from my first work experience with the Scottish SPCA in my teen years, to other rescue and rehoming centres, zoological collections, kennels, catteries, farms and equestrian yards. I have had the privilege of working with a myriad of animals; wild, exotic and domestic, and have learned invaluable lessons from each experience.
I had considered running a pet care business for many years, and after facing redundancy in 2020 during the pandemic, I figured this was my opportunity to finally do it!
